My laptop just randomly broke. Right in the middle of our countdown. Sorry if I left you worried, I didn't die- promise!
I hope you all had an amazing Christmas and got everything you wanted. Especially some amazing new pieces to add to your closet ;)

A few clothing items I got that I'm in love with are:
-A few different blazers.. you can honestly never have too many. (A velvet one to DIE for)
-One of those massively furry coats.. I definitely wasn't feelin those for awhile.. but now I love them. So Kardashian status ya know? It's white (Not real fur, don't worry)
- The Lauren Conrad STYLE Book. It's literally my second bible.. is that bad? Haha I got it a few weeks early because I got some Christmas money early (Shout out to my Grammy for being such NOT a procrastinator) and I literally haven't put it down. Well, you know what I mean. There are so many amazing tips in it about EVERYTHING you could ever want to know! I'll do a full post on it later, promise
-DKNY Be Delicious AND Light Blue. YUMMY.

It's almost a new year!! Can you believe it? It's a good time to start over, get better, reach goals and dreams and do things you've always wanted to do. It's funny, cause we can do all of that whenever we want, but the new year just makes it like so much more motivating.
I dare you to make some new year's resolution with your style. Be bolder. Throw out those disgusting clothes you've been holding onto for who knows why. Lose 10 pounds look even THAT much better in that outfit you've been wanting. Change your hair color. Cut bangs. Start wearing things you've been too scared to wear.
You get the picture. So until my laptop is fixed(hopefully within the next week) don't be expecting too many posts for the next weekish. But start thinking about what you want to achieve with your style!! Fashion right now is so fun, because it is so diverse. You can pretty much rock anything you want to and get away with it. Different is better. -And you can definitely quote that. Be you, after-all why be someone you aren't? That doesn't make sense.
I know I have many fashion goals for the new year..
What are yours?

Days 11 and 10

I HATE FINALS WEEK! It makes me get behind on blogging.. please forgive me.

DAY 10
aka 10 days till Christmas!!
SEQUINS! SPARKLES! GLITTER!
sparkly, shimmery, shiny. YAY.
Well, this one is pretty explanatory. It's easy to see that the shiny glam look is so in right now, every where you go. I'm definitely a huge fan of this fad. My eyes just get so happy when I see shiny stuff. Sparkle totally goes along with the winter slash Christmas season. You just gotta know to not over-do it. One sequiny item is enough. And if you think you can't wear sparkle with jeans or anything that casual; you're so wrong! You can wear them with anything. So go get some! And wear it to a happy Christmas party. People will be attracted to your shine :)

Just got these. PURE LOVE.

DAY 11

If you think you can't make a fashion statement with an umbrella, you're wrong. This season on Gossip Girl is when I had this mind opening revelation. Serena and Blaire are outside in the rain and have the most amazing clear umbrellas.

Aren't you obsessed?!?! They're called bubble umbrellas and go down farther than the usual umbrella, covering the face. The only downfall to these umbrellas is that they don't shrink up being able to fit into like purse, but hey you are stylin' so who currs.

I found these like exact same ones at target.com- A little pricey for an umbrella, but in my eyes, totally worth it. Hurrs da link:

Day 12 (more than halfway there!)

Christmas is seriously like gonna be here in a second! I'm so excited. I wish there was snow on the ground though. Like my first Christmas season being somewhere where it actually snows, and there is no snow! LAME!

Highlighter slash mineral veil for yo face.

You may be asking yourself.. what's highlighter fo thaa face?! Well, guess what? I'm gonna tell you. I always do right?
So highlighter is a translucent powder used to highlight the face. It gives you a healthy glowy look and makes you look alive and awake (especially in the winter when we're all whiteys.. especially me since I'm too cheap to buy a tanning pass right now).
Highlighter really is magical! Like when you first apply it, sometimes it's not very noticeable and such, but outside or in like pictures- it makes you look poppin.
The gorgeous thing about highlighter is that you can pretty much put it anywhere. Like it's obviously meant to highlight your cheek bones, but you can put it anywhere! If you want your eyes to look more awake, you can totally put it on as eyeshadow, or just around the eye area. One of my favorite places to put it is around the sides of the eye. So when you turn your head its just like BOOM! I would lightly sweep it over the whole face, and then put on my blush, then add a little more just to the cheek bones.

Am I even making any sense?
...I hope.

Highlighters usually just look like a white powder, which seems so weird to put on your face. Like HELLLLLO! I don't wanna be whiter than I already am.. right? The thing is its translucent, so when you apply it, it isn't thick or anything. It's just a sheer powder. It just adds a little glow. They also make shimmery ones, which add even more glow. Whatever you're feelin though right?
My all-time favorite highlighter is the bare essentials one. It's called the mineral veil. It can be put over the whole face to kind of hold your make-up in place or just used as a highlighter.
These are about $20, but last foreverrrrrrrrrrrr.

My second favorite highlighter I've tried so far has been my Maybelline New York Mineral Powder Finishing Veil. It isn't too much about $6-8 dolla range, but then again lasts forever. Like you hardly dip your brush in it, and sweep it over the face.

I love the mineral veils. I feel like it locks my face make-up in place and makes it last that much longer. We all hate getting ready, then a few hours later lookin in thaa mirror and seeing that our make-up is like off. Well this will help with that immensely, plus make you look happy and healthy.

Spread the love, it's Christmas time!!

Day 13 Muh friendssssss

BLAAAAAAAAZERS.
Mmmmmm.

Like some people judge the blaze.
Chan's first impression. "You looked like my dad going to church."
Buck's first impression. " What the nard."

Morg's first impression. "Cute, Lex.. So what are you going to wear underneath it?..(wtf)"

Haha since then they've all said they've embraced the blaze though, and think I rock it.. well duh! ;)
But they all still haven't bought one yet.. hmm.

Anyways every time I do wear my blazers, I get so many compliments!
I never even thought twice about wearing a blazer. Is it really that weird?
The answer is, no.
Since the blaze came back on the radar, it's changed so much.
The fitted, button front, super flattering jacket has turned into anything you want it to be!
I like to be weird and rock the major shoulder pads. It makes me feel like Lady Gaga.

I am loving the over sized blazer though also, with not really any shoulder paddage.
Now there are short blazers, sequined(bedazzled) blazers, blazer fitted type sweaters and jackets.. possibilities are endless. So get one that is so totally you.

Love how this isn't super fitted.

Looks so cute paired with anything! This is a total example of that.

The points make this blazer so unique, love it.

Love the cropped length.

P.s. I'm beyond OBSESSED with her hair. Cut and color.
Those first five are all from Forever21 and range from $25-40 greens.

Love the lace.

This is velvet. Holy fetch I want this.

And these are all from Charlotte Russe. So random huh?! They have super cute wintery stuff right now. It's more expensive than you would think it would be, but still cheapy. Like these all range from $40-50 doll hairs. (Hahaha member when we used to say that?) But really, like I love to go into CR lately. Just look, trust me.

Welp, go get a blazer. Or at least try one one. You'll probably have love at first fit.
MUAH!

TWO IN ONE!

I'm sorry guys, this whole finals week coming up and work killed my weekend. (this is where you feel bad for me and forgive me for missing a day of blogging). Okay, thanks. Enough chit chat, here we gooooo!

The SLOUCH pant.
I love. The ideal slouch pant is baggy waist down, then is tighter around the calve slash ankle area. The thing I love about these pants is that you can dress them up, or totes dress them down. Like they look amazing with heels. Def my fave. Some are high waisted, some aren't. Some are drawstring, some have a zipper. The list goes on and on.
If they are ankle length, I'd most likely go with a gorgeous heel, like I said above.
If they are more calve length, I'd go with a boot! Or if you're not feeling the boot even a flat.

I love how casual some of these are. I love how they drape so perfectly then fit at the bottom. I love the different prints and fabrics.
YAY.
I found all of these on Urbanoutfitters.com, click this link and it will take you straight to the page.

http://www.urbanoutfitters.com/urban/catalog/category.jsp?popId=&navAction=jump&isSortBy=true&navCount=0&pushId=WOMENS&id=W_BOTTOMS

Love how these are more of a sophisticated look, yet still have a drawstring. Ya digg?!

Just got some just likey this. SOOOO comfortable.

I love this print. It might seem hard to march with things, but really any neutral shirt will do. Or if you're feeling invincible go for a graphic T, tucked in.

LOVE.

I love slouch pants because they are comfortable, yet define your waist. These are a perfect example of that.

CHEETAH PRINT.
This is so vague, but I really am obsessed right now. I know it kinda came in and went out.. but it's back in full force. Haha I know they're are a few of you out there who know me really well.. who are probably thinking wtf? But let me just claify one thing here, I am obsessed with cheetah NOT zebra. Like sorry but, I'll pass on the zebra. Anyways, cheetah is gorgeous, and it comes in so many shapes and sizes and colors and blah blah blah. Here are just a few of my favorite cheetah printed items in the world today.

Hi. I want this so bad.
Urban Outfitters, of course.

I love these because they are subtle, yet are still noticeable. Forever21!
Love this. Forever 21. I love how they paired it with leather pants. I would totally wear this tucked into like a black pencil skirt to church. CUTE!

Love these. Especially living in the snow. They also make these super cute sockies things you can put in them, that are SUPER warm. Just sayin. Urban Outfitters also.

You get thaaa picture. I mean don't deck yoself out in cheetah, but a little here and there is fabuuuulous.
LOVE YOU ALL!

Day 16. Silk Therapy.

Okay, so everyone out there might not have a huge fro like me, but trust me, you'll love this anyway. I can't go a day without using silk therapy aka biosilk. My hair is so coarse and frizzy (HOLLER at all my peeps with straight up black woman hair), that if I don't use it, it's just gonna be impossible to do anything to my hair.
For every hair type you should use a different amount. I know my mom, who is a hair stylist recommends squirting like a  dime sized amount in yo palm, and that's it. But woah, I use more than a dime size. Prob like 3 or 4 quarter sized squirts. Haha anyways, you'll have to play around and see how much is too much (your hair will get greasy like super easy if you use too much) or too little (your hair will just be more dry slash friedish).
I know you can get this at any beauty supply store, and I heard they even are selling it at like Costco..
My mommy can get a deal, like 12$ for like a pretty large sized bottle (which lasts a while)
Dead serious hit me up if you want some, or want to give some to somebody for Christmas! I got you back loves!

Sorry not too long today! Fetch you finals week!

Day 17. Get Yo Jegging on!

Haha just say the word jegging. Jegging, jegging, jegging jegging. First of all it's so fun to say. Second of all holy fetch I love jeggings with my whole heart.
I've never been one to love jeans. I mean I love them, I think they're cute and all, but just not the comfiest thing right on earth?!.. That's why they invented..
JEGGINGS!
a.k.a. jean+legging=jegging.
At first I was like really not knowing what to think about the whole jegging thing. Like yeah, they're cute on freaking skinny minnie girls, but heck no on this booty.
Jeggings have come a long way though. Since they first came out they have gotten pockets, zippers- I mean like they're legit pants, not in uncomfortable jean material.

When you first put the jegging on, it feels like everybody knows they're not jeans. It feels like everyone is staring at your A. Honest truth, they have no idea they're not jean material, and they aren't even staring at yo booy. And if they are, it's because it looks poppin home girl!
A little self-consciousness is expected to the first time jegging wearer.. but after that you probably won't take them off. Seriously. SO COMFY. And wayy easy to wear with anything. Anything you would normally wear with jeans! And super easy to tuck into boots or whatev. When I'm wearing my jeggings I seriously feel so free. Like and I can just leap around and sing. Haha, okay maybe that's weird but they're mmm-ay-zing. WOOTx4!

So I got some just plain black mossimo jeggings at target for like 20$ I loved them, until I washed and dried them. They got really pillish.. like little balls all over them..You know what I'm talkin about? Yeah, so that was lame. Maybe I just suck at laundry, which is a deifinite possibility. Anyways, here's what they look like. The material is a little different than normal, feeling more like cloth. Just be careful about the washing instructions and don't be an idiot like Lexi.

See they look like black jeans, but feel so much better!

I recently got some Denimocracy jeggings, which are probably the most amazing jeggins I've ever witnessed. They look almost leather, but are just fabric. Yummy. LOVE THEM.
They carry them at Dillard's and Madison Los Angeles, and, welp that's it. They are definitely more expensive than the reg. price of jeggies, from about $60-100 buckaroos. You will wear every single dollar out of them. The denimocracy jeggings really just look like skinny jeans, and they have so many cool washes. You won't regret buying these puppies.

My second suggestion for an amazing jegging, is YMI brand. Every jegging they carry is $38 dollas. They look more just like jeans, but are super stretchy. I got some of a darker denim wash and am obsessed. They literally don't feel like jeans at all, but look just like jeans. They're like jeans in a world of smiley faces and unicorns.. if you can imagine how amazing jeans would be in that world.
Here's the linky, seriously get some. Please. They're amazing.

These are the ones I have^ I'm obsessed.

Bloggers, get yo jeggin' on!

Day 19!

My Days aren't off if you were wondering. I count today, and Christmas day. So there. Haha I got a little confused the other day and whipped out my handy dandy calender, and yep!
ANYWAYSSSSSS, today I'm going to blog about..
the MILITARY slash COMBAT LACE-UP BOOT
Sounds.. manish right? Or ugly? Or just weird? NOPE. I'm currently in LOVE with the military boot look. I'll take them shorter or taller, don't matta to me! At first glance you start to think.. what will I ever wear with those? The thing is.. anything! I know I say that a lot, but I mean it when I say it. The beauty of trends and fashion right now is, you can pretty much mix and match anything, and it's totally fab. I mean, you gotta know where to draw the lines, (get it? I drew a line through it hehe) but pretty much it's just one big wear whatever you want and rock it fad right now!
Back to the boots.
So I love the shorter lace-up boot because they look ADORABLE with a precious dainty little sock. Once again, sounds so weird. NOPE, it's not. Shorter socks are in right now. I think it's hilarious because when I was younger I had a pair of these kind of socks for every outfit. Member the socks with the little ruffles that you folded over at the top? Yep, wore those to church every Sunday. It's just great. You know what kind of socks I'm talking about now, don't you? Yeah, those kind. Ruffles or no ruffles. Please and thanks.

If you are wanting the taller boots, once again, love them. These can be worn with higher socks/tights whatev. If you wanna wear sockies, tuck your pants into the socks before puttin on yo boots. I mostly would go for the mid-height ones, because they are a lot more versatile than the super tall ones. My favorite thing to do with the mid-height is
1. Lace them up most of the way. 2. Take the laces wrap them completely around the boot, then back around to the front. 3. Then tie. 4. Cutest thing ever. It makes them look more casual, and just chillish.

Don't feel weird wearing these, everybody loves them.. they just might not know it yet.
If you get some that have a softer, flimsier leather, fold them over at top. However much you want. Super cute.
They also make tons of cute ones with like sockish material sewed in, or fur- love them, especially for the folding over.
The one thing I have noticed about mine is there are not very comfortable at first. The first day I wore mine my feet killed after. It's because the soles are so structured and they're a shape my foot isn't used to.. I fink. They break in pretty fast, so don't stop wearing them if yo feet hurt afta tha first time! Ya'll get whaa I'm spittin at chu?

They come in all shapes and sizes, different colors, some with a little heel, some with major heels, go for what fits your style best. The ones you think you'll wear most.
This look is totally just about rockin them your way, whatever that way is.

I'm glad we could have this talk.
Till tomorrow loves!
xoxo

P.s. Thanks to all you who read this, it really does mean a lot. Muah!

Whoopsies.. Days 21 & 20

Sorry I didn't post yesterday, I did a research paper all day. BOO! Please forgive me my friends. Tell me you still love me!

DAY 20
SEBASTIAN SHAPER PLUS HAIRSPRAY
My ALL TIME favorite hairspray in the world. I'm a hairspray addict. Like I think I get high off of it cause I use so freakin much. Happens when you gotta fro ya know. Gotta tame that shiz! Anyways try it out.

DAY 21
MATTE LIPSTICK
I"m so into the no shine, just pale, lighter colors right now. I love the nude/pale pink color! Matte lipstick gives such a pretty color! It's just so naturalish, not really dramatic.
Revlon has a whole line of matte lipsticks that I love. My favorite is Pink Pout. It's the perfect pink color, not too Nicki Minaj, but still different. Ya feel me?! The Revlon lipsticks are pretty, and go on well, but after a little while they do get kinda chalky or cakey. MAC has a line of matte lipsticks that are awesome too. If you just wanna try out the matte look, get the Revlon one first- it's only like 6$. If you love it, go for the MAC.
Ahhh pure love. Don't be afraid to wear lipstick. It sounds kinda grandmaish sometimes, but really they just are such a different color than any lip gloss can give you.

                 pwetty pwetty. love this one^

P.s. You can always put a little lip gloss on top of the lipstick if you want a little shine!

xoxo

Day 22

LIQUID EYELINER
Don't you just hate it when a few hours after putting on your make-up you look in the mirror and your eyeliner is all saggy. Haha, k weird word, but you get what I'm sayin right? Like it falls down, gets smeary blah blah. Well now you don't have to worry about that happening ever again! I think people get scared when the hear the word "liquid" before eyeliner. The reality is, don't get scurred! Surriously!

Tips to applying LIQUID eyeliner hollerable.
1. Get really close to a mirror
2. I like to rest my elbow on the counter, so I can make-sure I get a really straight line.
3. Just go right along the lash line, as close as possible.
4. After applied across the whole lid, make it thicker if you're feelin it.
5. Please bless you do a little cat eye action! I mean you're putting on liquid eyeliner anyways, might as well make it way fetchin! This is also really easy, if you want a little cat eye, aka, wing- at the end of your straight line along the lid, make a quick curved, upward motion. Even just a little wing opens up the eye and makes your lashes look thicker. It doesn't have to be massive, just pretty and really girly.

Obviously if you want a really good liquid eyeliner, the more the pay the better it will be. I have found one that is super cheap that I love though! You can find it at Wal-Mart or Target, it's called Glam Eyes and its the Rimmel London brand. It's at the most, like 5$. I like it because it's not too thick, and isn't a pain to get off at night. They also have it in some crazy colors, but of course, I prefer the black.

Also, if you are still sketched out try the felt tip eyeliners. They are just like a marker, and super easy to draw a straight line with! I've found the cheaper ones dry out really fast, so if you want one of these definitely go for quality!

Try it out! You won't regret it!!
till tomorrow,
xoxo
